About City Towbars

City Towbars is a family business in Brisbane, QLD Australia, it began in 1994. It was started by City Hire due to a demand from customers who wished to hire equipment.

However they did not have a towbar to tow the equipment with so this led to City Hire branching out to fulfil a need. City Towbars first began operating from the same building as City Hire in Kelvin Grove.

City Towbars out grew the Kelvin Grove location in 2000 and moved to a present location at Stafford.

City Towbars was among the first companies to offer a "Mobile Fitting Service".

In May 2012 City Towbars was bought out by Speedy Towbars and is now run alongside Speedy Towbars out of their Two locations in Everton Hills and Slacks Creek with our mobile service servicing the Sunshine coast to the Gold coast and out to Ipswich.
