I did do my shopping around via telephone and every time I called they had the friendliest and most helpful attitude on the phone, and their price was not to be beaten.

They also provided an onsite installation for very little extra - not to mention the entire convenience of them coming to me.

Paul, who did the installation was excellent. Called to tell me he was running slightly late due to traffic and when he arrived got on with the job straight away. A very efficient and professional installation was completed ahead of time.

I was very happy with the service I received from Wayne, particularly the care he took with the car and his detailed explanation of the wiring system. The car was ready on time and when I had trouble unscrewing the towhook a few days later, it was immediately fixed for me.

"I recently purchased a towbar and bike rack from City Towbars. After ringing around I found that they had the cheapest price for the towbar I wanted.

I went to the workshop at Stafford to speak to someone about the towbars and found the staff to be friendly with excellent professional knowledge.

I arranged to have the towbar fitted at my home via phone and once again received excellent service over the phone. When the installation technician arrived to install at my home, he was on time, very friendly and professional and did an excellent job on the installation.

"Just a short note to thank you for the excellent service I received this morning when Mick called to attach a new towbar and nudge bar etc.

His experience and knowledge were evidenced with all his work and especially when he discovered that the trailer plug on our van wasn't correctly wired and was causing the live wire to melt the plug connection . He suggested a better plug and socket and wired the vehicle with heavier gauge copper.

I was very impressed with his work, which he performed without a break. (Couldn't even tempt him to have a cup of coffee!). Give the man a pay rise!!!

Another good part of this experience was payment of the invoice....it didn't cost a bit because the price was what I expected without any hidden surprises.

"I had a good towbar on an old car so I shopped around to see how much it would cost to be removed then re-installed on my new car. Of the 3-4 businesses that I visited, all pushed to sell me a new towbar and would not give me a specific quote on what I wanted.

Talking to a mate at work about my predicament he suggested I contact City Towbar.

I rang them and got an estimate over the phone and booked the job in immediately. It was exactly what I wanted and they were very helpful.

"Too often we hear about the service we didn't get and rarely hear about all the good we do in our own fields.

I recently bought a new Territory and part of the deal was to change the towbar from the old car to the new.

At the 11th hour the dealer advised they couldn't change the towbar over and things were up to us to resolve. Having recently bought a caravan a car with no towbar isn't much use. I wasn't sure how to explain to my wife that we'd have to purchase another towbar, etc.

A phone call to Wayne and the wheels were in motion to remove the bar. What could have been a real problem was solved by that call - bring the car down and we'll fit you in.

I thank you also to Andrew, who had to sort out the electrics when fitting the bar to the new car.
